9 Days until Christmas!!!!
I hope you’re all nearly done with your Christmas shopping. I’ve been working on a project for my 3 year old nephew, Nicholas, and can’t wait to share it on here when I’m finished.
For my 16th Day of Giving I decided it was time for a good old-fashioned donation from the comfort of my couch. I chose the Children’s Enchantment Fund (CHEF) through the San Francisco Ballet. Last year I donated after attending the Nutcracker at the War Memorial House and have looked forward to donating again all year. The Children’s Enchantment Fund has been around since the early 90s and provides underserved children and families the opportunity to see the Nutcracker free of charge. Experiences like going to the SF Ballet or a Broadway show can be prohibitively expensive, particularly for poor families. Thanks to the CHEF, children get the opportunity to go to the War Memorial Opera House and see a live dance performance. For any of you who have seen the Nutcracker in SF, you know how truly magical it is. I’m glad to contribute to help a young kid have the chance to attend the ballet and be inspired by the wonder and beauty.
If you’d like to donate as well, you can do so by clicking here and donating online, or calling Ticket Services at 415-865-2000.
And since I have no pictures for this day of giving, I will leave you with this hilarious picture of my sweet nephew to enjoy:
