Laura Sherr is a well-rounded, self-motivated professional who is passionate about community involvement. Her background includes working both with inspiring non-profits such as Kiva.org, the Jane Goodall Institute, and the Worldwatch Institute, as well as with the international management consulting firm, Corporate Executive Board. Her career includes positions spanning fundraising, account management, operations, executive education, and event planning.
Laura recently returned from a prestigious fellowship with Kiva Microfunds. She volunteered her time and resources in the Republic of Georgia to launch a brand new partner for Kiva: VF Credo Microfinance Organization. This is the first micro-credit bank that Kiva has partnered with in the Republic of Georgia, joining several other partners in neighboring countries of the Caucasus, Armenia and Azerbaijan.
In her free time, Laura enjoys volunteering, photography, reading, practicing yoga, and traveling. She currently lives in San Francisco, CA, with her husband, Ian, and cat, Dia.
